The OPPO Find N2 Flip launched globally yesterday, and OPPO did share its policy on updates. The company committed to 4 years of major Android updates, and 5 years of security updates for the OPPO Find N2 Flip.
The OPPO Find N2 Flip will get 4 years of major Android updates, 5 years of security updates
This is basically the same support Samsung promised for the Galaxy Z Flip 4, its direct competitor, which is great. If you’re holding back because of updates, well, OPPO just gave you a reason not to.
Do note that the OPPO Find N2 Flip does ship with the latest version of Android out there, Android 13. On top of it, the company includes its own Android UI, ColorOS 13. So, the phone will get updated all the way to Android 17, at least that’s what’s promised here.
OPPO hosted its launch event in London to announce the global model of the Find N2 Flip. This is the company’s first foray into the global markets, as far as foldable smartphones go. The Find N2 Flip is also the company’s first clamshell foldable in general.
The company did a great job with the design here
During our initial hands-on experience with the phone, we quickly realized OPPO did a fantastic job with the hardware, as was the case with the Find N2. The crease is barely noticeable, and the phone has a gapless design when folded. That’s not something we can say for the Galaxy Z Flip 4, on both accounts. The Find N2 Flip does not offer an IP rating, though.
The phone is quite powerful too, and has a rather large outer display, considering it’s a clamshell foldable. The MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ fuels this phone, while OPPO included 8GB of RAM on board.
A 6.8-inch fullHD+ foldable AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate is also included here. A side-facing fingerprint scanner is a part of the package, as is a 4,300mAh battery. 44W charging is supported, and a charger is included in the box.
