Competition in the foldable phone market is heating up as more companies are releasing their own foldable phones. The company that introduced the “Flagship Killer” OnePlus is set to release its own folding phone soon. Well, thanks to My Smart Price, we have the leaked specs for the OnePlus Fold.

These specs, as you can expect, point to a powerful device. At this point, we don’t know when we expect this phone to launch. We know that it will be within the next couple of months, however.

OnePlus Fold specs point to a powerful device

OnePlus has been putting top-of-the-line specs into its phones since the get-go, and this phone is no different. Starting off with the display technology, we’re looking at a 6.3-inch AMOLED outer display with a 120Hz refresh rate. As for the internal display, this phone will sport a large 7.8-inch panel with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Now, let’s look at the internals. The OnePlus Fold is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. That’s the latest and greatest from Qualcomm at the moment. That could be backed up by an impressive 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. With those specs, OnePlus is looking to make this a productivity machine.

Powering those specs, we might have a 4800mAh battery. That’s 4% smaller than the flagship standard of 5000mAh, so we’ll have to see how that functions. However, if you run out, you’ll be able to top off the phone quickly using the 67W charging.

Moving onto the camera, the main camera is expected to be a 48MP main camera with a 48MP ultrawide and 64MP telephoto camera. The outer selfie camera could be a 32MP shooter while the internal selfie camera could be a 20MP shooter.

The remaining specs point to a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an alert slider, and OxygenOS 13.1 out of the box.

With these specs, it’s clear that the OnePlus Fold wants to take on the likes of the Galaxy Z foldables. Samsung is dominating the foldable phone market, and there aren’t any companies coming close to taking down the Korean tech giant. While we don’t expect the OnePlus Fold to be the phone to do it, it’ll still be interesting to see what the company has in store.
