OnePlus’ upcoming wireless earbuds, the Buds Pro 3, have been leaked many times in the past couple of weeks. A handful of alleged promotional images of the successors to the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 were leaked recently. In addition, almost all of the specs of the upcoming audio accessory also surfaced online a few days ago. Today, OnePlus has announced that it will launch the Buds Pro 3 as soon as next week.
OnePlus Buds Pro 3 will launch on August 20th
Putting a stop to the rumors, OnePlus has finally set a launch date for the Buds Pro 3. In a post on X, the company announced that the Buds Pro 2’s successor will be launched on August 20th. Furthermore, the brand has set up a new page for the wearable on its website. The brand is teasing the Buds Pro 3 as its “finest audio offering yet” with “meticulously balanced notes”.
Notably, the teaser for the Buds Pro 3 confirms that the new earbuds will be offered with a new pebble-shaped charging case. The new case will have a much smaller footprint than the larger square-shaped charging case of the Buds Pro 2. Unfortunately, the teaser hasn’t revealed anything else about the upcoming Buds Pro 3’s features.
The Buds Pro 3 will flaunt Dynaudio EQs, dual drivers, and dual DACs
The OnePlus Buds Pro 3’s specs were leaked through a listing on Amazon India. The listing suggested that the new OnePlus earbuds will flaunt Dynaudio EQs, which are co-created with Dynaudio for precision-tuned audio profiles. The new audio accessory will boast dual drivers and dual DACs. They will be equipped with a 6mm tweeter aided by an 11mm woofer as well.
The Buds Pro 3 is said to provide support for 25-bit/192kHz audio. As expected, the new wearable will flaunt ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) and will be able to cancel up to 50dB of noise. Lastly, the reports suggest that the device will offer up to 43 hours of battery life, IP55 rating, and Bluetooth 5.4. If the rumor mill is to be believed, the new OnePlus earbuds will cost around $215 when they officially launch.
