The OnePlus 13R has started receiving a new update, which improves its camera performance, security, and more. This update is marked as OxygenOS 15.0.0.501, and its rollout has started in India. It will quickly spread to other markets, though.
The OnePlus 13R gets a security and camera-boosting update
This update brings the Android security patch for February 2025 to the device and thus enhances security. General system stability and performance enhancements are also listed in the company’s official changelog.
On top of that, OnePlus has also improved the camera performance and stability, which should improve user experience. The details regarding that were not shared, but the camera should work even better now.
This update also improves the stability and compatibility of Wi-Fi connections. The stability and compatibility of cellular communications have also been improved, as has the connection between your mobile device and your car.
A new feature has been added too
In addition to all this, OnePlus also says that it added an option to quickly delete Notes, Messages, and My Files data from the recycle bin. The system font size now also applies to Weather, by the way.
Those are all the changes that were listed in the company’s official changelog. Do note that the update is rolling out in batches, and has not left India just yet, but it will soon. So be patient, it may take a while before it lands on your device.
The OnePlus 12R was one of the best budget smartphones on the market. The OnePlus 13R pretty much continues down that path. It’s notably more affordable than the OnePlus 13, and yet it has plenty to offer. OnePlus continues to push updates out, to provide the smoothest experience possible. And yes, this update is based on Android 15, as it runs OxygenOS 15.
