OnePlus launched its new flagship today. The OnePlus 10 Pro global launch event is taking place today, and you can watch the live stream in case you’re interested. Do note that the phone already launched in China a couple of months ago.
The OnePlus 10 Pro global launch event is taking place today
The OnePlus 10 Pro launch event will kick off at 10 AM EST / 7 AM PST / 4 PM CET / 3 PM BST. The company will livestream it via its official YouTube channel, and the link has been embedded below the article.
OnePlus already revealed that you’ll be able to make a deposit of $1 in order to pre-order the phone, and once the payment goes through, you can even get a free pair of the OnePlus Buds Pro (those who pre-order).
That being said, the OnePlus 10 Pro is not exactly a secret at this point. The device launched in China a couple of months ago, and basically revealed what we can expect on a global level. The global model will come with different software, but everything else should be almost the same.
Chances are we won’t get the White model of the phone globally, at least not yet. The Black and Green colors, or as OnePlus calls them, Volcanic Black and Forest Emerald, are expected to become available.
Other than that, some global models, or all of them, could end up sporting an extra microphone on the back. Other than that, the design of the phone will remain the same, and the same goes for its internals, probably.
The device is hardly a secret at this point
The OnePlus 10 Pro is made out of metal and glass, and its rear camera island is inspired by some of Samsung’s flagships. The bezels are quite thin on the phone, and the display is curved. A display camera hole sits in the top-left corner.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 sits inside the phone, while both 8GB and 12GB RAM models got announced in China. We’re still not sure if both models will be available globally, but they likely will, at least in some markets.
A 48-megapixel main camera sits on the back of this phone, along with a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, and an 8-megapixel telephoto unit. A 32-megapixel selfie camera is also included.
You’ll also get a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 80W wired charging globally, and 65W wired charging in the US. That is, at least, what a recent rumor reported. 50W wireless charging will be included in all markets.
You can even check out the spec sheet of the Chinese OnePlus 10 Pro model, which we’ll update once the phone launches globally.
