We’re starting to approach the next Samsung Galaxy unpacked event, and we’re expecting to see the company’s upcoming Galaxy Watch 6 during the event. This is set to be an exciting device, and we expect it to come with One UI Watch 5. However, the One UI Watch 5 beta has been delayed.
Earlier in the month, Samsung officially announced One UI Watch 5. It stated that it was going to start beta testing later this month. The beta test was going to land for Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 users.
But, One UI Watch 5 has been delayed
On Samsung’s community forums, the company broke the bad news to eager Galaxy Watch users. Samsung’s Beta Operations Manager said that the launch will not be happening this month. Seeing as it’s May 31st, this announcement does not surprise us. However, the disappointing thing is that we have no idea when to expect the beta to drop. The company did not give us any time frame to expect the beta.
We’re pretty strapped for details, but it’s possible that the beta could launch before the Galaxy Watch 6 hits the market. We are expecting Samsung to host its next Galaxy Unpacked event sometime in July when it announces the new foldable phones. All of this is speculation at this point, so you won’t want to take this to heart.
We’re still figuring out more about what One UI Watch 5, WearOS 4, and the Galaxy Watch 6 will offer. If the rumored July announcement is true, then there shouldn’t be too much longer to wait to find out.
In any case, the beta is meant to be released for the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 5. If you’re curious about picking up one of these devices and testing out the new software, you should be able to find some good deals on them. At the moment, there are a ton of deals offering a Galaxy Watch 4 for under $200.
