Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 4 stable update to the Galaxy S21 series yesterday. That surprised quite a few people, as Samsung really did become the king of Android updates, when it comes to third-party OEMs. That being said, Samsung’s One UI 4 Android 12 roadmap now leaked, revealing when the update is coming to other Galaxy devices.
One UI 4 roadmap reveals Samsung’s detailed Android 12 plans
This roadmap was posted on the Samsung Members Korean forums, but was deleted soon after. Tron, a tipster, managed to get the screenshot of that roadmap, and has shared it via Twitter.
As you can see below, quite a few Samsung phones are expected to get Android 12 by mid-2022. When it comes to December, the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3, S20 series, NOte 20, Z Fold 2, and Z Flip 5G seem to be in line to get the update.
Quite a few devices are in Samsung’s plans for January as well. Those devices include the Galaxy Fold 5G, Z Flip, Note 10/10+, S20 FE, S10 series, and several more affordable phones.
The first Samsung tablets will get the update in February next year
The first tablets slated to get Android 12 are the Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+. Those two tablets are expected to get the update in February next year. In March, not a single device will get the update, but April, May, June, and July are packed.
You can check out the provided image below the article to check out Samsung’s detailed plans. There really are a lot of devices listed here.
Samsung was well-known for slowness when it comes to update, but all that changed in the last couple of years. The company is now right next to Google when it comes to releasing security updates, and it was first (aside from Google) to deliver Android 12.
Do note that we cannot confirm that this roadmap is legit, of course. This is a leak at this point, so take it with a grain of salt, but it’s easily possible it’s accurate. Samsung’s plans may change down the line, though, so keep that in mind.
