Since the beginning of its availability, GeForce NOW has always been something you needed to sign up for on a monthly or multi-month basis if you wanted anything other than a free membership, but now you can actually check things out with day passes. It’s honestly a wonder why this hasn’t been available from the very start. Because it surely would have gotten more people interested in checking things out.

Prior to the day passes, anyone interested in GeForce NOW had to sign up for a free account. If they liked what they saw, they could then upgrade to either a Priority Membership or an Ultimate Membership. Not so bad, if you think about it. However, there was one limitation. The free membership doesn’t offer any of GeForce NOW’s best features. Like the longer play sessions, the faster frame rates, or the highest resolution or gaming performance. Day passes change all that. Because you can sign up for them with either of the paid memberships. And at a much lower cost than what it would take to sign up for a full membership.

GeForce NOW day passes start at $3.99

If you want my recommendation, GeForce NOW is worth the monthly cost. Even with the Ultimate Membership which is $19.99 a month or $99.99 for six months. But maybe you don’t want to lock yourself in for that long or pay that much money if you just don’t like the service.

Or maybe you love the service for what it could offer you, but your network simply doesn’t allow for the smoothest experience. Now you don’t have to settle in for the long haul. You can instead set up a day pass and pay a lot less money. If things don’t work out, then no harm no foul. You’re not on the hook for the entire monthly payment. Beginning today, NVIDIA will offer the day passes starting at $3.99 for the Priority Membership. If you want to check out the Ultimate Membership for the day instead, then it’ll cost you $7.99.

This is a one-time fee. NVIDIA is hoping that this will entice more people to set up monthly memberships. And there’s a good chance that many people who weren’t willing to try out the service before will do so now because they don’t have to pay for an entire month. To make things even sweeter, the day passes offer all the same features as their monthly counterparts. That means longer play sessions, up to 4K resolution, and up to 120 frames per second for games.

Eight new games join the service this week

The day passes are great. Excellent even. But if you already have GeForce NOW, then you’re here for the games because you want to know what’s new that you can play in the cloud. There are eight new games in total this week that are joining the service. This includes six new release games that came out on Steam just this week.

The Thaumaturge, for example, was released on March 4. The other new releases are Classified: France ’44, Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, Winter Survival, Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator, and Zoria: Age of Shattering. Then there’s Granblue Fantasy: Relink and Undisputed that were added as well. No matter your gaming preferences there’s something to enjoy. Not to mention the entire catalog that was already there.
