Last month, Google launched its Find My Device network. Now Apple accessory manufacturer Nomad is making the entry into the wallet tracking space for the first time with its remarkably slim Tracking Card. The company has just announced its new product to make it easier for you to keep track of your wallet.

It’s about the same size and double the thickness of a credit card

The Tracking Card from Nomad integrates seamlessly with Apple‘s Find My app and can also be recharged when the battery runs out of juice after months of use.

You will be looking at a form factor similar to the offerings from other brands in the space, with a slim design that also includes a rechargeable battery, an LED, and a speaker. The Apple Find My compatible Tracking Card from Nomad is about the same size and double the thickness of a credit card. You can slide it directly into any wallet and keep track of that. The exact dimension is 86mm x 54mm x 2mm.

The card is made of durable polycarbonate material and also an IPX7 water and dust resistance rating. It means the card should be fine even if you keep it submerged in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. However, the presence of dust can still affect the card.

The product comes with a minimalist “Nomad” logo on the bottom corner of the front side. This is so small that you can barely see it. On the other side, you will see the internal structure of the card, including the wireless charging coil. You will also see the nearly flush pairing and chime button.

Apple Find My setup for the Tracking Card from Nomad

The setup process is very simple and straightforward. You can navigate to the items menu in the Apple Find My app, hit the “+” sign, and then “Add Other Item.” Then press the button on the Tracking Card. You can change the name and also add an icon for your Find My map, which is similar to other third-party Find My gears. You can complete the process within a minute or two.

As mentioned above, you can charge the battery by powering the card wirelessly with a Qi or MagSafe charger. The nearly 2mm thick card offers a battery life of five months. You can also check the battery percentage of the card using the Apple Find My app. The Tracking Card is now available for purchase at a price tag of $40 from the company’s website.
