The latest Jurassic World: Dominion trailer features more action, more danger for the returning cast and Chris Pratt making promises to a dinosaur!
Jurassic World: Dominion promised that returning cast members Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum would not be given a gimmicky cameo role in the conclusion of the Jurassic World trilogy. Now the latest trailer has made good on that claim by showing all three actors well and truly in the thick of the action and the best look yet at the number of dinosaurs and action sequences that can be expected when the movie hits cinemas on June 10th.
Director Colin Trevorrow has said that the latest movie will be the film he’s been wanting to make all along, a film that sees dinosaurs roaming the world and not exactly getting along with their human co-habitants. Living up to its title, Jurassic World: Dominion sees dozens of dinosaurs making meals of people who get in their way, and in the middle of all the chaos, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are back to try and save the creatures from extinction while avoiding many sharp teeth and claws.
The new trailer features a longer look at the motorbike chase sequence featuring Pratt’s Owen Grady and a handful of Pyroraptors and the return of Blue and her baby. The latter seems to form at least one plot point of the movie, with Jeff Goldblum’s Ian Malcolm mockingly jibing Grady for admitting that he “made a promise to a dinosaur” to bring the baby back to Blue safely. Another scene finds Laura Dern hanging over the jaws of the Giganotosaurus, a new dinosaur to the franchise which, as Sam Neill’s Alan Grant says is “the biggest dinosaur the world has ever seen,” and by the end of the trailer, it appears that things are going to get very rough for the entire cast. Check out the brand new trailer below.
Jurassic World: Dominion Could Be The Biggest Ever Jurassic Park Movie
Since Jurassic World became one of the biggest movies of all time, the franchise has been building to the conclusion that it will deliver this summer with the most dinosaurs seen on screen and the return of the original Jurassic Park cast to add their “expertise” to the story. While legacy returns have been a mixed bag over the years, the majority recently have hit the mark, from the brief but satisfying appearance of the original Ghostbusters cast in Ghostbusters: Afterlife to the phenomenal addition of old Spider-Man stars to Spider-Man: No Way Home. Jurassic World: Dominion seems all set to land right on the button when balancing the new and old casts of the Jurassic saga.
Where the Jurassic World franchise goes from here is still up for debate, but it is unlikely that Universal will be willing to let one of their biggest assets go stomping off into the sunset. With many questions still to be answered, like will Rexy play a role in the movie or be relegated to a background player this time around, will all the of the main cast survive, and will Henry Wu get his comeuppance for his previous betrayals, there is no doubt that the future of the franchise will be clearer when the movie premieres in June.
