Google is nearing the stable release of Android 13. Pixel users recently received Android 13 Beta 3.2 and should pick up one more beta build before the stable update sometime in August or September. Ahead of that, the company is asking for feedback on the Android search experience in a new survey.
This survey looks to find how Google could improve the search experience on Android with the latest version. It asks questions on the usefulness of the new homescreen widget for Search and how it helps in day-to-day usage of the device.
Google first asks you to confirm that you have a Pixel device enrolled in the Android 13 beta program. You will also have to specify the software build number your device is currently running. After that, the company wants you to tell which search box you use more often on Android 13: the Search widget on the homescreen or the All Apps Drawer search box up top. You can select either or both, or none.
The survey further looks to find if your usage of the search box has changed on Android 13 compared to Android 12. Google wants to know what are you using the search functionality for. It gives you several options and you can select one or more. The options include installed or uninstalled apps, Settings, Google Assistant, Pixel Tips, Contacts, Web content (e.g. websites, Google search results page), and more.
There’s also a question on whether the search results meet your expectations. You can select from the listed options or give a written response. Last but not least, Google wants you to compare the search experience on Android 12 and Android 13.
This Google survey on the Android search experience is now live
The latest Google survey is hosted on Qualtrics, which is unusual as the company mostly hosts such user surveys on Google Forms. Nonetheless, it is now live and will be active until 5 p.m. PT on June 28.
If you’re interested in giving Google some feedback on the Android search experience, you can take the survey here (via). The company says you can participate in the survey only once and can’t go back to a previous question. So you might want to answer carefully. The survey asks for demographic information such as age and occupation and should take about ten minutes to complete. Most questions come with multiple optional answers.
“Please keep in mind that all questions and content within this survey are confidential and should not be shared with anyone,” Google warns.
