Action star Jason Momoa unleashes hell on Vin Diesel and his family in the latest trailer for the upcoming sequel, Fast X. Of course, rather than another infamous Fast and Furious behind-the-scenes fallout, Momoa and Diesel will be playing characters when they do battle. The Aquaman star joins the franchise as Dante, a man who has been vying for revenge for some time against Diesel’s racer-turned-secret agent Dominic Toretto. Check out the latest teaser for Fast X courtesy of The Fast Saga below.

The end of the road begins in Fast X. The tenth installment in the Fast & Furious Saga, Fast X launches the final chapters of one of cinema’s most storied and popular global franchises, now in its third decade and still going strong with the same core cast and characters as when it began. Over many missions and against impossible odds, Dom Toretto and his family have outsmarted, out-nerved and outdriven every foe in their path. Now, they confront the most lethal opponent they’ve ever faced: A terrifying threat emerging from the shadows of the past who’s fueled by blood revenge, and who is determined to shatter this family and destroy everything—and everyone—that Dom loves, forever.

Looking back at 2011’s Fast Five, Dom and his crew took out nefarious Brazilian drug kingpin Hernan Reyes and decapitated his empire on a bridge in Rio De Janeiro. What they didn’t know was that Reyes’ son, Dante, witnessed it all and has spent the last 12 years masterminding a plan to make Dom pay the ultimate price.

Jason Momoa Joins the Fast & Furious Franchise as Dante

Known for the likes of Justice League and Dune, Jason Momoa joins the Fast and Furious franchise as Dante, whose plot will scatter Dom’s family from Los Angeles to the catacombs of Rome, from Brazil to London and from Portugal to Antarctica. New allies will be forged, and old enemies will resurface. But everything changes when Dom discovers that his own 8-year-old son (Leo Abelo Perry) is the ultimate target of Dante’s vengeance.

“Dante is in awe of Dom. He’s analyzed him. There’s nowhere to hide, because he knows Dom better than he knows himself,” Fast X director Louis Leterrier revealed recently. “Dom truly meets his match with Dante. Family goes both ways. There’s family on your side. There’s also family on the other person’s side. When the family that was your super-strength becomes your Achilles’ heel, it’s where you’re going to get wounded the most.”

Fast X stars returning cast members Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Jason Statham, John Cena and Scott Eastwood, with Oscar winner Helen Mirren and Oscar winner Charlize Theron.

The sequel will also add several A-listers to the roster, including Oscar winner Brie Larson as Tess, a rogue representative from the Agency; Alan Richtson (Reacher) as Aimes, the new head of the Agency who doesn’t hold the same fondness for Dom’s crew as his predecessor, Mr. Nobody; Daniela Melchior (The Suicide Squad) as a Brazilian street racer with a powerful tie to Dom’s past; and legendary Oscar winner Rita Moreno as Dom and Mia’s Abuelita Toretto.

Fast X is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 19, 2023, by Universal Pictures.
