Following on the heels of its earlier announcement, Netflix is revealing yet another game coming to the app, this time with Vikings: Valhalla. The game is set to debut in 2023 and is a strategy game based on the Netflix show. It’s also the third game from Tilting Point coming to Netflix, following SpongeBob Get Cooking! and another game with a planned 2023 launch, Narcos: Cartel Wars Unlimited.

Vikings: Valhalla the game is inspired by the first season of the show. So there are likely going to be some references or tie-ins that fans of the show will notice should they play. As this is a strategy game, you’re probably going to have to manage resources in some form.

Netflix doesn’t give away many details, but it does clue in players a little. Stating that players will need to “build up a formidable settlement before they can wage war and spread their influence across the land. Games of this type almost always have some form of resource management. Which could mean timers and cooldowns.

Vikings: Valhalla and Narcos: Cartel Wars Unlimited aren’t the only games already announced for 2023 either.

Vikings: Valhalla will join numerous other games on Netflix in 2023

The Vikings: Valhalla announcement is part of Netflix’s 2022 recap for mobile games. In the trailer, there’s a brief spot which Netflix says it’s leveling up for 2023. It then shows off several games that subscribers can expect to play next year. Not the least of which is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. You also get a small glimpse at Queen’s Gambit Chess, and Valiant Hearts: Coming Home – a mobile continuation of a quaint little Ubisoft title that’s based on World War I.

The trailer then dumps right into the games that Netflix surprise launched this morning. Overall, Netflix is getting some really great mobile titles. And the funny thing is, some of the games aren’t strictly for mobile. Shredder’s Revenge is available on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. So it’s an interesting pickup given you can already play the game on mobile via Xbox cloud gaming and PS Remote Play.
