Netflix has just launched its third major new mobile game of 2024 in the form of Pinball Masters, that’s now available for free as part of your Netflix subscription, with versions launching on Android and iOS.
The new game was developed by Zen Studios, based in Budapest, Hungary, who are no strangers to the pinball genre. They’re behind Pinball FX, Zen Pinball Party, and Star Wars Pinball. Their other games include Kick Beat, Castlestorm II, and Dread Nautical.
Per the official description for Pinball Masters, here’s what you can expect:
“Channel your inner pinball wizard! Flip and tilt your way through themed tables featuring characters like Godzilla and Kong in this classic arcade game.
Try to climb the leaderboards or beat your own highest scores in Single Player while enjoying the finest selection of pinball tables. Want to challenge friends? Invite the gang over for a lighting round of pass-and-play hot seat action.
Embark on your silver-ball quest with Zen Studios’ tried-and-true physics model — every flip, bounce and shot will feel close to the real thing.”
None of the tables appear to be exclusive to Netflix at present, but the eight launching on the service include:
- Kong Pinball
- Godzilla Pinball
- Godzilla vs. Kong Pinball
- The Addams Family
- Pinball Noir
- Curse of the Mummy (Egyptian-themed)
- Grimm Tales
- Wrath of the Elder Gods
Per the official Netflix help page for the game, Pinball Masters supports cloud saves but cannot be played offline. Online features include leaderboards but multiplayer is restricted to local play. The developer also promises that more tables will be on the way in the near future.
The arrival of Pinball Masters takes Netflix’s mobile game library up to 95 titles total (not including the two delisted titles – Samurai Shodown and WrestleQuest), with plenty more planned. Netflix also has a small collection of games available in its Cloud Beta program, which now has eight titles in total available for those in the Beta program.
Netflix recently confirmed many mobile games heading our way in 2024, including Braid Anniversary Edition, Chicken Run: Eggstraction, Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit, Hades, Katana Zero, Monument Valley, and Paper Trail.
