Netflix just added over a dozen new titles to keep subscribers busy over the weekend. Today’s haul contains a great mix of must-see original material and classic licensed content. Specifically, the streaming giant has just added every single entry in a popular movie franchise and the final chapter in a film trilogy that’s been gripping the internet all month. The licensed movies debuting this July 16th include Sofia Coppala’s American Civil War-set thriller The Beguiled, starring Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning, and The Book of Henry, the Naomi Watts drama film from Jurassic World‘s Colin Trevorrow. But the most noteworthy additions have to be all five installments in the Twilight saga. So if you’re in the mood to relive Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s vampire romance, now’s your chance.
The biggest original movie going up today, though, is Fear Street Part 3: 1666, the conclusion to the teen horror trilogy that’s taken subscribers by storm. Following the first part being set in the 1990s and the second rewinding to the 1970s, this time we’re in The Witch territory as the truth behind the curse of Shadyside and the cruel witch trial that started it are revealed. Kiana Madeira, Gillian Jacobs and Benjamin Flores Jr. star.
As for the new TV content, documentary series Explained returns for another season, with new episodes arriving weekly. Then there’s Johnny Test, a revival – not reboot – of the 2000s Carton Network animated series and Naomi Osaka, an eye-opening three-part docuseries that explores the life and career of the eponymous tennis sensation.
