Narwal comes to IFA 2024 in Berlin with a new AI-powered robot vacuum – Freo Z Ultra. This robot vacuum boasts advanced features like obstacle avoidance, hygienic hands-free maintenance, and pet-friendly modes, aiming to provide a stress-free cleaning experience for all households. Narwal is using dual AI chips and cameras for real-time object detection, and it is able to adjust its cleaning strategy accordingly. To make sure your home is as clean as possible.

The company is also including Advanced EdgeSwing on the Freo Z Ultra, which is going to help tackle the dirt in the edge of the room, as well as on your baseboards. It is able to maintain 7-12N downward pressure and adjusts its cleaning angle with accurate twists along walls and baseboards. These new triangular scrubbing mops also help to enhance coverage, by fitting snugly into corners, ensuring a thorough clean.

Incredibly quiet, despite powerful 12,000Pa suction

The Narwal Freo Z Ultra is also incredibly quiet, operating at 55-58dB, that’s half the noise of the industry average. But it still somehow has a max suction power of 12,000Pa. I’ve been using this robot vacuum over the past couple of weeks, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by both the noise level and the suction power. As someone with a dog that is constantly shedding, I run a robot vacuum nearly daily, and it does a fantastic job of picking up all of the hair without getting tangled either.

Narwal has outfitted this robot vacuum with a pretty large 2.5L dustbin bag and dust compressor, so you only need to empty the bag about every 120 days. Of course, that is going to depend on how much you use the vacuum and how big your home is. But compressing the dust means more can fit in the same size bag. Narwal is going the extra mile here, too, using hot air drying to kill bacteria inside the bin. Also, using Dynamic Electrolyzed Water Sterilization to ensure safety when it’s time to dispose of the dirt.

What’s more impressive than how quiet the Freo Z Ultra operates? How quiet the dustbin is, despite sucking all the dirt and dust out of the vacuum. It comes in at 71dB, which is incredibly quiet.

The Narwal Freo Z Ultra will be available in North America starting on October 8, 2024 for $1,499. The company will also be offering exclusive benefits from its website; you’ll want to sign up before September 13 to join the early-bird campaign that starts on September 14 and runs until October 7.
