Motorola has launched the Moto S50. It is a slightly tweaked version of the Motorola Moto Edge 50 Neo. It is not to be confused with the Moto S50 Neo as it packs a MediaTek Dimensity chipset instead of a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC.

Motorola Moto S50 Specifications, Features

Motorola has just launched the Moto S50, which is a slightly tweaked and rebranded version of the Moto Edge 50 Neo. The S50 Neo launched earlier this year and is available in multiple countries.

A MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset powers the Motorola smartphone. It is available with 12GB RAM, and either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.

Motorola has embedded a 6.36″ 120Hz LTPO pOLED display in the Moto S50. It features a Full HD+ resolution of 2,670 x 1,272 pixels and supports HDR10+. Motorola claims the display has a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.

Motorola Moto S50 packs a surprisingly small 4,310mAh battery. However, it supports up to 68W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging.

One of the highlights of the Motorola S50 is its imaging hardware. The Android 14 smartphone features a triple rear camera setup. The rear camera array has a combination of a 50MP Sony IMX896 primary sensor with OIS, a 13MP ultrawide with 123° FOV, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS support.

The display of the smartphone has a 32MP embedded front camera as well as an under-display fingerprint scanner. The smartphone also has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Where and how to buy the Motorola mid-range Android smartphone?

The Motorola Moto S50 is currently available in three Pantone-validated colors. Motorola is selling all these variants in two memory configurations.

All these specifications, except the chipset, are similar to the Motorola Moto Edge 50 Neo, which launched in June. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen SoC chipset powers the Moto S50 Neo, which sells in Europe as Moto G85.

The Motorola S50 will be available in China. The entry-level model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage costs $310, while the 12GB RAM with 512GB storage model costs $350.
