The Motorola Frontier may launch on May 10. The company posted a cryptic teaser on its Weibo page, saying something big is coming on May 10. A tipster shared that teaser, suggesting it could be the Motorola Frontier.

The Motorola Frontier could launch on May 10 with Qualcomm’s new SoC

The Motorola Frontier is the company’s rumored flagship smartphone, though we’re not convinced Motorola will announce it on May 10. Why? Well, that phone is tipped to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC, and that chip hasn’t launched yet. There’s always a slim chance Motorola won’t mention that chip by name, or may use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 instead.

This smartphone will feature extremely thin bezels, and a curved display. A centered display camera hole will also be included, along with three cameras on the back. The camera island on the back will protrude quite a bit, especially that huge main sensor.

A 6.67-inch OLED display will be included, and it will support a 144Hz refresh rate. That will likely be a fullHD+ panel, by the way. The device will also include 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, while UFS 3.1 flash storage is also expected.

The phone will feature 125W charging, and a 194MP main camera

Android 12 will come pre-installed on this smartphone, while a 4,500mAh battery will also be a part of the package. The device is tipped to support 125W wired charging, along with 30W or 50W wireless charging.

A 194-megapixel main camera will sit on the back, and be backed by 50 and 12-megapixel secondary shooters. Those will likely be ultrawide and telephoto cameras, in case you were wondering.

A 60-megapixel front-facing camera was also mentioned. That’s basically all the spec information that we have at the moment. Do take this information with a grain of salt, though. If the Motorola Frontier ends up sporting the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+, it’s not as likely it will launch on May 10. We’ll see, though.
