Another year means new stand-up specials, and as we enter April 2024, let’s take a look at all the Netflix Original stand-up specials released so far and what new ones we know are coming just around the corner.
Looking back at 2023, 34 Netflix Original stand-up specials were released. What is possibly even more noteworthy about those 34 is that 33 out of the 32 were English-language specials. The only non-English-language special launched as a Netflix Original in 2023 was Whindersson Nunes’s Preaching to the Choir, released in February.
How does 2023 fit in with Netflix Original stand-ups and stand-up series overall? Well, it came down off an all-time high in 2022, which was arguably caused by a buildup of specials that were disrupted due to the pandemic.
