As many of you already know, the iPhone 16 series is coming later today. We now have some last-minute rumors to share with you, including the iPhone 16 Pro price, AirPods Max 2, and more. Do note that all this info comes from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, a very reliable source for Apple news.
Last-minute iPhone 16 rumors bring us the iPhone 16 Pro price tag & more
Let’s talk about the iPhone 16 price first, shall we? The tipster says that he doesn’t expect the price tag to be raised at all. In other words, the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to cost $999, just like the iPhone 15 Pro. That goes for its baseline model, which could actually include 256GB of storage, not 128GB. We’ll see. This information goes against some previous rumors suggesting a price hike is coming.
What about the second-gen AirPods Max? Well, they’re expected to become official today, actually. They’re coming to replace the original AirPods Max which launched back in December 2020. Gurman claims that the AirPods Max 2 will have better noise cancellation, adaptive audio, and also include a USB-C port, of course. This also goes against some previous rumors that suggested these headphones won’t launch during Apple’s iPhone 16 event.
The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is not coming today
Those of you who were also expecting Apple to announce the Apple Watch Ultra 3 during this event, well, you’re out of luck. It seems like that watch is not coming today, unfortunately. Apple is expected to update the Apple Watch Ultra 2, though. The company could end up offering a new color scheme or something of the sort. We’ll have to wait a bit longer for the third-gen model.
Apple is expected to announce four new iPhones today, as many of you know. The iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max are coming. The two ‘Pro’ models will offer larger displays this time around, while the smaller ‘Pro’ will get the tetraprism camera too, just like the ‘Pro Max’ model. The event is set to kick off at 10 AM PST / 1 PM EST / 7 PM CET / 6 PM BST.
