King Charles hits Donald Trump’s ego but a former terrorist swoops in with a controversial ‘bribe’

Despite there being numerous actions that directly or indirectly impact the U.K., Prime Minister Keir Starmer and King Charles have done their best to accommodate Donald Trump and his mood swings. But they are no longer the only country trying to make the U.S. president feel special, and coincidentally, Charles’ decision to challenge Trump’s ego comes right when a former terrorist, linked to the deaths of U.S. soldiers and civilians, promised him an expensive offering.

So far, Charles, in his bid to accommodate the renowned temper tantrums of Trump, has invited him to the palace twice, hasn’t publicly commented on his insulting stance on making Canada the 51st state of America, and didn’t even broach the topic of the POTUS’ expected but still disappointing treatment of the Ukrainian president when the latter visited the palace. There were even rumors — that Trump boastfully celebrated — about Charles extending America the offer of joining the Commonwealth.

But Trump — a man who wants America to be “embarrassed” — has a dicey temper, the desire for the finer things in life, and loves it when he, and he alone, gets special treatment. The second unprecedented invite to Windsor Castle was stroking just the right notes for the president… until Buckingham Palace announced French President Emmanuel Macron will be treated to a visit to the U.K. and Windsor Castle in July, before Trump’s visit in October.

Normally, this is a slight that would barely bother a sane leader. But this is Trump, renowned for his penchant for holding a grudge and his disagreements with Macron over NATO, climate change, Iran, and trade. Macron has subtly — and sometimes not so subtly — criticized Trump’s worldview, nationalism, and policies.

This update comes at a time when Trump is standing on the tip of his toes in glee over the royal family of Qatar gifting America [re: Donald Trump] a $400 million Boeing Jet. The icing on the cake? Syria’s new leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa – a former jihadist leader of the terrorist group of al-Qaeda in Iraq, the group that later evolved into ISIS – coincidentally managed to offer to build a Trump Tower in Syria just before the U.S. president decided to lift U.S. sanctions from the country.

I mean, a second visit to the U.K., something not offered to the past U.S. presidents, is big, but nothing beats a former terrorist – one whom the U.S. government designated a global terrorist, with a $10 million bounty – gifting you a massive tower in your name in another country, right?

Looks like Charles will have to up his game. Maybe offer him the chance to join his “Satan”-style Royal portrait in the National Gallery?
