John Wick: Chapter 4 will further peel back the curtain on the highly secretive inner workings of this world of assassins and killers as the follow-up throws the action icon into a face-off with the big shots. The sequel sees Keanu Reeves return once again and continue his quest for both survival and revenge after uncovering a path to defeating the High Table.
But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes. With the price on his head ever-increasing, John Wick: Chapter 4 sees Wick takes his fight against the High Table global as he seeks out the most powerful players in the underworld, from New York to Paris to Osaka to Berlin.
Directed by Chad Stahelski and written by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch, John Wick: Chapter 4 stars Keanu Reeves as the titular John Wick, Bill Skarsgård as The Marquis de Gramont, Laurence Fishburne as The Bowery King, Hiroyuki Sanada as Shimazu, Shamier Anderson as The Tracker, and Donnie Yen as Caine. The rest of the cast includes Lance Reddick as Charon, Rina Sawayama as Akira, Scott Adkins as Killa, Ian McShane as Winston Scott, Clancy Brown, Marko Zaror, and Natalia Tena.
It Star Bill Skarsgård is the New Sheriff in Town
Joining the world of Wick is It and Barbarian star Bill Skarsgård as The Marquis. A high-ranking member of the mysterious High Table, Skarsgård has revealed several details about his character, likening him to the Sheriff of the assassins. And this town ain’t big enough for both he and John Wick. “The Marquis is a young man of unknown origin who has quickly climbed the ladder within the High Table doing god knows what,” the actor explained. “I always saw him as someone from the gutter that now savors the glittery suits he’s wearing. He functions as the new sheriff set out to rid the world of John Wick once and for all.”
John Wick: Chapter 4 will also add martial arts legend Donnie Yen as Caine, a blind High Table assassin and friend of Wick’s. Or should that be a former friend? With so many stellar new additions to the cast and with John Wick: Chapter 4 set to be a high stake, globe-trotting adventure, it’s no wonder that so many feel the fourth outing could be the best yet.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is scheduled to be released by Lionsgate on Mar. 24.
