JMGO is announcing two new projector products for CES this year and one of those is the O2S Ultra, a tiny projector that the company is claiming to be the “world’s smallest laser TV.” If you’re unfamiliar with laser TVs, they’re just ultra-short throw projectors. What’s nice about them is that you can place them mere inches from the wall and they can still project the picture onto it. Unlike regular projectors, they don’t need to be set up on a coffee table or tripod in the middle of the room.
They also don’t have to be mounted to the ceiling. So one major benefit of these types of projectors is convenience. Laser TVs aren’t exactly small though. Most if not all of them are sizeable units. The JMGO O2S Ultra was designed to be incredibly small by laser TV standards. Presenting you with an opportunity to save space on your TV stand for other things.
The JMGO O2S Ultra projector is about the size of a shoe box
So how small exactly is this projector? According to JMGO, it’s the size of a shoe box. Specifically, it measures 12.3 x 11.4 x 5.5 inches. Compared to other ultra-short throw projectors, that’s pretty small. Don’t let its small stature fool you, though. It can still project a TV screen that’s 100 inches in size. All while being just 5.75 inches away from the wall.
JMGO says the secret to the sauce for the O2S Ultra is the MALC 3.0 technology. What this does, JMGO says, is allow the O2S Ultra to simultaneously deliver high brightness, accurate colors, and consistent contrasts. The O2S Ultra also features 4K resolution and the maximum screen size it can produce is up to 180 inches the company says. JMGO also states that the O2S Ultra is great for gaming in addition to movies and TV.
It features a 2,500 ISO lumens brightness as well. That being said, JMGO mentions this is an estimate based on testing in its own lab. To top things off, the JMGO O2S Ultra has Google TV integration. So apps like Netflix, Max, Hulu, Disney+, and several others are just a few clicks away on the remote. JMGO hasn’t officially announced a price yet, but it does say it expects the O2S Ultra to start shipping globally in Q4 2025.
The N3 Ultra Max uses an AI-powered electric gimbal to auto-adjust alignment
In addition to announcing the O2S Ultra, JMGO is also announcing the N3 Ultra Max. While not a UST projector, the N3 Ultra Max does have some cool tricks up its sleeves. Most notably the AI-powered electric gimbal that automatically adjusts the alignment. If you’ve ever used a projector before, one of the biggest hassles can be aligning everything so the picture is straight. This shouldn’t be an issue with the N3 Ultra Max, which JMGO says delivers a “point-and-play experience” because of how the gimbal works.
How does it work? You just point the remote in a direction and the gimbal will do the work. It seems pretty neat and should be a seamless and convenient way to ensure you have perfect alignment.
The projector also uses an optical zoom for better picture quality, and IO ports are now located on the gimbal base to prevent cables from getting in the way during rotation (older models had IO ports on the projector). Like the O2S Ultra, the N3 Ultra Max features Google TV integration and it uses the MALC 3.0 technology. The N3 Ultra Max does come with a higher brightness at 4,000 ISO lumens though, so it should provide even better overall picture quality than the O2S Ultra.
It’s expected to launch globally in Q4 2025 and should be available on the company’s website around that time.
