CES 2025 has become the center stage for all things tech for a few days now, and we’ve already seen announcements of some cool products. This year’s CES has also seen loads of robots, some of which do amazing things. Jizai, a Japanese robotics company, unveiled a robot called the Mi-Mo at CES; it looks much like a walking stool with a lamp on top.

The Mi-Mo is the company’s first model of a general-purpose AI robot. What’s interesting is that it can think, act, and adapt with the help of audio, visuals, and movement indicators. Talking of design, the Mi-Mo robot walks around with its six little metal legs, covered with real pieces of wood. Not to mention, it moves like a toddler and nods its lit-up lamp head as it comes across someone.

Although the Mi-Mo is still a prototype, it can be made more advanced going forward. Per the company, this cute little robot will also get additional hardware and add-on attachments to make it more user-friendly.

Jizai also claims that the Mi-Mo can be a handy addition to a hospital setup. One of the possibilities is that it can do some simple tasks like carrying medicines and other supplies within healthcare facilities. That’s why, the CEO of Jizai, Yuki Ishikawa, is willing to offer this AI robot to hospitals and clinics.

A full-sized model will be also available in the future

The CEO also says that Mi-Mo can be a good addition to offices and households to streamline the daily workflow. However, that’s something Jizai wants to achieve after it develops the full-sized Mi-Mo. As far as pricing is concerned, the tabletop version of Mi-Mo will cost $3500. The full-sized model of Mi-Mo is rather eye-watering; the company says it will have a price tag of around $30,000.
