First released way, way back in 1989, The Abyss was nominated for four Academy Awards, winning the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, and has since become one of the cinematic treasures amid Cameron’s iconic and hugely successful back catalog. “If you haven’t seen the film before, this is the way to experience it, and if you have, it will be like the first time all over again. So, get out to the theaters and enjoy.”
