As expected, iQOO launched the new iQOO 13 today. The company’s new flagship boasts a powerful set of tech specs, including the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. There’s also a massive battery with fast charging support, decent cameras, and a durable build with IP68 + IP69 ratings. It will be one of the main rivals of the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro.
iQOO 13 has a 2K 144 Hz display with advanced DC Dimming; Snapdragon 8 Elite on board
The iQOO 13 is built around a 6.82-inch flat AMOLED display. The panel is 2K (3168×1440 pixels), supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and advanced DC Dimming (2592 Hz) for those sensitive to flickering. There’s also up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness under specific circumstances in certain areas of the display screen (1800 nits of brightness HBM).
The device is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The company claims that the phone’s hardware configuration scores 3.15 million points on AnTuTu. A massive 6,150 mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging via USB-C will keep the lights on. The phone also supports UFCS (44W) and PPS (100W) charging standards.
Big VC cooling system for high performance for long periods
IQOO’s flagship phones are all about performance, and the iQOO 13 is no exception. The brand has implemented a 7K ultra-large VC vapor chamber, which can start up three times faster than other VC solutions. This powerful cooling system should ensure sustained high performance for longer.
The smartphone integrates a middle frame made of aviation grade aluminum. It has dimensions of 163.37 × 76.71 × 8.13 mm and a weight of 213g. There’s a slimmer “Track Edition” with a thickness of 7.99 mm and a weight of 207g. The connectivity department is well served with support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. Other features include IP68 + IP69 ratings, powerful dual stereo speakers, and Hi-Fi audio support.
The rear area of the device has a triple camera setup. There’s a 50 MP Sony IMX921 main sensor (f/1.88 aperture, OIS, 1/1.49″), a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.0 aperture, FOV 150°), and a 50 MP periscope lens (4x “lossless zoom”). There’s also a 32 MP front camera (f/2.45 aperture) for selfies and video calls. To differentiate its device from the rest, iQOO included a halo light around the camera module. The light supports atmosphere effects that react dynamically to game scenes (up to 72 colorful effects).
