According to a new report from Jeff Pu, the Apple iPhone 17 Slim is coming. Jeff Pu is a well-known analyst from Haitong International Securities, and he’s usually very accurate.
The iPhone 17 Slim is coming, it seems
In addition to hinting at the iPhone 17 Slim’s arrival, he also revealed some other details about the iPhone 17 series. Apple will once again release four devices, and the ‘Slim’ model will replace the ‘Plus’ variant.
That model will have a slimmer design compared to its siblings, so the name is kind of self-explanatory. The analyst also said that all iPhone 17 models will feature a refreshed design, front-facing camera improvements, and a smaller Dynamic Island cutout.
The iPhone 17 series display sizes have been revealed
The Apple iPhone 17 is said to include a 6.1-inch display. The iPhone 17 Pro will have a 6.3-inch panel, based on this info. The iPhone 17 Slim is said to include a 6.6-inch display, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max will have a 6.9-inch display.
The source also claims that the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Slim, and iPhone 17 Pro will feature an aluminum design that is “more complex”. The ‘Pro Max’ model will, of course, utilize titanium. What’s interesting is that the iPhone 17 Pro won’t use titanium.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max will use a “narrowed Dynamic Island”
The iPhone 17 Pro Max is also tipped to use a “narrowed Dynamic Island”. So that could be the only model to offer a smaller Dynamic Island, well have to wait and see. That will mainly be helped by the new tech for the proximity sensor, it is said.
The iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Slim are said to include 8GB of RAM and the Apple A18 or A19 chip. The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will include 12GB of RAM and the A19 Pro processor. All four models are said to include a 24-megapixel selfie camera, by the way.
All four of these smartphones are expected to arrive in September of 2025.
