According to a report by The Information, the Pro models of the iPhone next year will not have a titanium frame. Instead, the Cupertino tech giant will offer the same aluminum frame on the Pro models as the base variants. Apart from this, the iPhone 17 Pro’s design overhaul will also include a new rear camera module and other changes.

According to the report, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Pro Max will not offer a titanium frame. The report suggests that they will be made of made of aluminum. Also, both the handsets will have a new rear camera module. The upper part of the camera section will allegedly be made of aluminum instead of 3D glass. The lower half will utilize glass materials to offer wireless charging support.
Notably, it’s worth mentioning that Apple last year switched from aluminum to titanium on its Pro series of iPhones. Apple has offered the regular and SE series of models with side rails made from aluminum. So it’s surprising why Apple is switching to aluminum instead of titanium on the Pro models next year. However, there’s no concrete information as to why Apple has decided to make this design overhaul change for the iPhone 17 Pro.
