One of the main complaints when it comes to iPhones these days is their charging speed. Well, that could change later this year. According to a new rumor, the iPhone 16 series will finally offer faster charging.
The iPhone 16 series could end up offering faster charging… both wired & wireless
This information comes from Paras Guglani, a tipster. Now, considering this is the first time we’re hearing about this, and not from a source usually related to Apple information, do take it with a grain of salt.
This would be great to see, but we’re still not convinced it will actually happen. The tipster does claim, however, that the iPhone 16 series will end up offering 40W wired, and 20W wireless charging support. A charger once again won’t be included, though, of course.
Even if Apple aims to do something like this, knowing the company, it would first roll out the change to the ‘Pro’ models. The tipster seems to believe that all four iPhone 16 variants will get this change.
All models will launch in September, as expected
He did also mentioned that the iPhone 16 series will be coming in September, as expected. Its predecessors were announced in September, that’s usually when Apple does it. So we have no reason to doubt that information.
Apple will increase the display size of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, by the way. Both phones will have slightly larger panels, while the display size on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will remain unchanged.
The iPhone 16 Pro will also get the Tetraprism camera from the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Design-wise, not much will change, but the vanilla models will have a different camera layout on the back.
Apple is also rumored to deliver the biggest iOS change since the OS was announced. Reports claim that iOS 18 will deliver some big changes, which sounds exciting, of course.
