A report surfaced a couple of days ago, sharing CAD renders of the iPhone 15, next to the iPhone 15 Pro. That report claimed that the iPhone 15 will have a 6.2-inch display, but that won’t be the case, it seems.

The iPhone 15 won’t feature a 6.2-inch display after all

A well-known tipster, ShrimpApplePro, shared some details regarding that panel. He says that the phone will still include a 6.1-inch display, even though it will be slightly larger than the one on the iPhone 14.

So, what’s going on here? Well, the iPhone 14 has a 6.06-inch panel, but Apple markets it as a 6.1-inch panel. The iPhone 15 will have a 6.12-inch display, but it will still be marketed as a 6.1-inch display.

The display will be larger, but still marketed as a 6.1-inch panel

The display on the iPhone 15 will be larger, true, but not by much, and it will still be marketed as a 6.1-inch panel. Now, the tipster also noted that the iPhone 15 will have thicker bezels than the iPhone 15 Pro, and the same display design as the iPhone 14 Pro.

9to5Mac probably noticed that the display is larger on the iPhone 15, based on CAD renders, and assumed that it will be marketed as a 6.2-inch panel. Considering that it’s not that much larger, barely over 6.1 inches, Apple will stick with the same details.

All iPhone 15 models are expected to launch in September

The iPhone 15 will become official in September, along with three of its siblings. The iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to launch. The ‘Pro Max’ model could be marketed as an iPhone 15 Ultra, but we’ll see.

All devices in the series will include a Type-C port, and become the first iPhones to do so. All of them will also offer a Dynamic Island, and the ‘Pro’ models will even have solid-state buttons, based on reports.
