The rumors regarding the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro series devices are all over the place. We’ve seen all kinds of details up until now, including some RAM-related information. Based on the latest info, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max could end up offering 8GB of RAM after all.
The iPhone 15 Pro models could end up offering 8GB of RAM after all
Let’s start from the beginning, though, shall we? First, back in February, a report surfaced that the devices will offer 8GB of RAM. Then, a couple of days ago, a tipster shared some Apple A17 (Bionic) SoC info.
That info pointed to 6GB of RAM for the upcoming ‘Pro’ iPhones. Well, that same tipster is now back, reporting slightly different info. He claims that models with both 6GB and 8GB of RAM are being tested.
Needless to say, that gives us some hope for 8GB RAM iPhone 15 Pro models. As the tipster notes, the RAM count could be dependent on storage. In other words, higher storage models may ship with more RAM, we’ll have to wait and see.
All iPhone 15 devices are tipped to arrive on September 12 or 13
The entire iPhone 15 family is expected to arrive next month. Based on the latest info, they’ll launch on either September 12 or 13. They’ll go on pre-order on September 15, and then on proper sale on September 22.
The iPhone 15 Pro models will have some benefits compared to regular models. They’ll have frames made out of titanium, thinner bezels, and better cameras, amongst other things. The ‘Pro Max’ variant is also expected to include a periscope telephoto camera.
All iPhone 15 models will debut Type-C this year. Not a single iPhone has it, but these ones will, as the EU forced Apple’s hand. All models will also ship with a Dynamic Island, which was included in the iPhone 14 Pro models.
