Netflix just dropped a couple more games into its growing library of titles.

Let’s begin with Infernax, which was first released in 2022 on PC and Nintendo Switch by developers Berzerk Studio and published by The Arcade Crew. It’s now available on Netflix’s Games Beta, which streams games within the Netflix UI, but is currently only available to a select number of users.

Per the Netflix page for the adventure singleplayer role-playing game, it has you slaying monsters and saving innocents to break a dark curse.

Over on mobile (both iOS and Android), Game Dev Tycoon has just launched. Greenheart Games developed the simulation game that was first released in 2012 and has seen numerous releases in its 12-year history.

Collider got the exclusive for Game Dev Tycoon yesterday and spoke about some of the changes that the mobile release on Netflix has gotten compared to the retail version (that remains available, including mobile devices). Per the outlet, here’s what changes you can expect:

“Netflix’s edition of the game adds a few extra systems to explore throughout the development process. Rival developers can also take inspiration from the streamer’s catalog, releasing rival games like “Orange is Back” and “Squish Game.” New story events, meanwhile, recreate the real history of these IPs, with moments that mirror what happened during their development in real life and require players to exercise sound judgment to guide their company through the challenges. To extend the reach of their games, players can now also market with in-universe content creators and streamers who can share the title with their audience, either shooting it into the stratosphere or earning it widespread backlash.”

Rarebyte assisted on the port to mobile.

As with all Netflix games, both titles are available in all tiers of Netflix and feature no microtransactions or advertisements.

Adding Game Dev Tycoon brings Netflix’s total mobile game library to 91 titles. You can browse our full list on Netflix’s mobile game roster here. We’ve just updated that page with a significant overhaul, allowing you to filter through Netflix’s game selections and added info about whether titles feature cloud saves or controller support.

On the Cloud Games side, Netflix’s roster is definitely on the smaller side, at nine titles now, including the launch of Infernax. Only a tiny number of Netflixers have access to the Beta cloud service, and to ensure that you get included when it rolls out more, opt-in to test participation using this link.

Next up from Netflix Games is Hades, which has already soft-launched in the Philippines and is set for a wider release (albeit only on iOS), which will launch on March 20th. Other games coming up in 2024 include Braid (April 30th), Paper Trail (Q1 2024), Netflix Stories: Virgin River (Q1 2024), Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure (Summer 2024), Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit, and much more.
