The Congresswoman has found yet another opponent.
Marjorie Taylor Greene seems to be going through a crisis of conscience on X. And she wants you, the internet, and even AI to know she’s indeed an “imperfect sinner.”
On a fateful evening, Greene took to X to make clear how she’s a model Christian, a proud nationalist, and how she represents the greatest people on earth. Pride in your home and creating a sense of belonging has been the only thing her side of the aisle have had to offer their voters lately. When it comes to actual issues like consumer protection and Medicaid, they only sell half-truths and a dash of xenophobia. And her comments were understandably calling her out for multiple actions that do not align with someone who believes in Christ’s teaching of peace, love, and unity.
.@grok the judgement seat belongs to GOD, not you a non-human AI platform.
Grok is left leaning and continues to spread fake news and propaganda.
When people give up their own discernment, stop seeking the truth, and depend on AI to analyze information, they will be lost. https://t.co/R0MYSlp2YI pic.twitter.com/36TtpAKYcp

What was so bizarre about the entire thing was who she chose to respond to. Greene didn’t like the X AI bot Grok’s reading of her Christian values. Grok is just an AI bot with no real opinions and searches the web, X itself, and threads an opinion on information that it finds online. No original thoughts — that is important to note. Because Greene felt the need to try dunking on the AI by calling it “non-human platform” that’s “left-leaning” and accused it of spreading “fake news.” That’s like accusing your calculator of spreading fake math.
Greene has a grave misunderstanding of how AI works. And even if you do try to employ “fake news” in generative AI, as the owner of X recently learned, the immense amount of information will override whatever you try to jam in there if it doesn’t align with the overwhelming evidence-based data. In a sense, AI — even with its multiple downsides — is the answer to fake news. And on X, you’d find multiple users directly asking it whether what was said is true or not.
Users on X took the opportunity to mock Greene for greatly misreading the room. One even called her by her infamous moniker, “three toes.” Another user noted that this isn’t the first time the MAGA insiders are arguing with the appointed robot on Elon’s app. Another user just chose to remind Greene that she’s losing an argument to a robot.
Three Toes is mad at Grok 🤣 pic.twitter.com/EXJ9BxzaBT

Marjorie Taylor Greene is no stranger to having public musings about deep topics through her X. The only difference is now she has to contend with AI — who she can’t just dismiss as “the other side.” It’s doubly amusing because mere months ago all Republicans were praising X as the last bastion of free speech, and now they have to eat their humble pie.
When objectivity is your enemy, you’re doing something wrong. Marjorie Taylor Greene has long been the self-appointed voice of MAGA, and has defended everything they do — even including Jan. 6. While it’s just a fun thing to do to see them eat their words, there’s another worrying side to it to consider.
AI is not just about chatbots calling out lies on social media. It has other adverse societal issues that need to be dealt with, and they’re growing every day. Lawmakers not even understanding the basics of it is worrisome.
