Time was, most of our casual daily conversations and discussions were conducted in person. Now they take place over WhatsApp, creating an utterly indispensable record of every recommendation made, every link posted, and every picture shared.
And thanks to the wonders of modern technology, you can usually hold onto WhatsApp conversations when you switch to a new device. If you’re upgrading from an LG G7 to a Google Pixel 6, for example, you can just restore the backups from your old phone to your new one.
But there’s a problem: this only works if you’re staying with the same OS. Try to switch from Android to iOS and you’ll lose everything.
Google has created a solution for backing up from iOS, but it’s fiddly, only applies to Android 12 and up, and can only be done while you’re setting up your new phone. There’s nothing available for restoring messages from Android to iOS.
Fortunately, help is at hand in the form of Tenorshare’s iCareFone Transfer app, which eliminates all of the problems listed above and lets you transfer WhatsApp data from Android to iOS with ease.
All you need is a USB-C to Lightning cable and the iCareFone Transfer app in order to transfer everything from videos to emojis, as well as text messages, images, audio clips, and more.
To get started, just download the iCareFone Transfer app from the Google Play Store, launch the app, and connect your devices with an OTG cable, ensuring that you’ve first created a WhatsApp backup on your Android phone.
Then select “Android to iOS” transfer mode and click “Authorize”. Make sure WhatsApp is installed on your new iOS phone, and click “Next”.
At this point you’ll be given the choice of data types, allowing you to filter out the stuff you don’t want such as images or videos.
The final step is to boot up WhatsApp on your iPhone using the same number and with “Find My Phone” turned off. The iCareFone Transfer app will do the rest.
Easy!
To get started, download the Tenorshare iCareFone Transfer app for free right now on the Google Play Store.
