HyperX is back with another custom keycap for mechanical keyboards, this time with a collaboration between the peripherals brand and Team Liquid.
If you’re not familiar with Team Liquid, it’s one of the top esports teams with players all over the world, competing in games like Valorant, CS:GO, League of Legends, Fortnite and more. And HyperX happens to be one of Team Liquid’s partners. Which makes it all the more understandable that HyperX is doing a custom Team Liquid keycap.
If you’re a fan of the organization and wanted a way to jazz up your keyboard, this new custom keycap is one way you could do that. The keycap itself is designed after Team Liquid’s mascot ‘Blue’ and like the other custom keycaps HyperX has offered, it will be a limited edition item. Which means HyperX won’t be making a ton of these. It also won’t be available forever. So if it strikes your fancy, you’ll want to grab one as soon as you can.
HyperX will launch the Team Liquid keycap on July 21
If you want to get your hands on this bad boy, you’ll have to wait a few more days. As HyperX will be launching the new keycap on July 21. It’ll retail for $19.99 which, isn’t exactly super cheap for a single keycap. But if you compare that cost to that of the Diablo IV keycap from SteelSeries, it seems quite reasonable.
The new keycap is part of HyperX’s HX3D collection that the company announced. If you missed it, HX3D is a lineup of custom-designed, limited edition 3D printed accessories for various products. Some of them will be keycaps, while others will be accessories specifically for HyperX products.
HyperX plans to open up sales of the Blue keycap at 9am Pacific Standard Time this Friday. And it will keep the keycap up for sale until August 20 at 9am Pacific Standard Time. The only exception to that is if HyperX sells out of these before the end date of the sale period. Keeping this in mind, a full month is probably long enough to set aside $20 for this thing. Should you want one.
