The Huawei Watch GT 4 series is now official. Huawei’s new smartwatch comes in two sizes, 41mm and 46mm variants. The two models also look different, by the way, entirely different.
The Huawei Watch GT 4 got announced in two rather different versions
The 41mm model is more catered towards women, while it’s the opposite for the 46mm version. That smaller variant has a circular body and display, and thinner watch bands fit on it. Huawei refers to this design as the ‘Pendant Design’.
On the flip side, the 46mm model doesn’t have a circular body, but it has a circular display. Huawei actually refers to this design as ‘Octagonal Design’, due to its shape.
Both smartwatches have a rotating crown on the top right side, which doubles as a button. A secondary, customizable button sits on the right side too, but below the rotating crown.
The watch comes in 8 different colorways
The Huawei Watch GT 4 comes in 8 different colorways. The 41mm model comes with a two-tone Piano Key Bracelet model, a jewelry-inspired MIlanese Bracelet variant, and White Leather Strap models.
The 46mm model launched in a variant with a Steel Bracelet, and Brown Leather Strap bracelet, the models we’re used to. In addition to that, Huawei also announced Rainforest Green and Black Rubber Strap variants.
Over 25,000 watch faces are available
There are over 25,000 watch faces on offer via the Huawei Health app at this point, which you can utilize on either of the two watches. Both smartwatches come with a stainless steel body, by the way.
Huawei added both Menstrual Cycle Management 3.0 and Sleep Breathing Awareness on both of these smartwatches. Each of those are powered by the upgraded TruSeen 5.5+ technology, says the company.
Heart health readings are now way more accurate
The company says you can now get a 30% more accurate reading of your heart health, and even more accurate readings of your “dynamic activities”. Those are activities such as running, rope-skipping, and so on.
Huawei also introduced an improved ‘Activity Rings’ feature here, which displays daily fitness statistics at a glance. You can reach various milestones here, of course. There are over 100 Sports modes on offer on both smartwatches too.
The GPS has been improved drastically
The GPS has also been improved. The Huawei Watch GT 4 comes with dual-band five-system high-precision GNSS. Huawei says that this will improve positioning accuracy by 30% compared to the Watch GT 3.
HarmonyOS which comes pre-installed has also been upgraded compared to the previous model. The launcher has been updated, and it’s now more useful than ever. It has a multitasking screen, for example, while quick replies are on a whole new level now too.
The watch has all the usual sensors, including the heart rate sensor, which can keep track of your heart rate 24/7. Sleep breathing awareness is also included, as is continuous skin temperature measurement. Automatic SpO2 measurements are also possible, and more.
