Announced at Next on Netflix UK earlier this year, House of Guinness is the new biopic series from renowned creator Steven Knight. What’s on Netflix can confirm several new castings in the series and reveal some first-look behind-the-scenes photos as filming begins.

Best known for projects like Peaky Blinders, Spencer, and Netflix’s All the Light We Cannot See, Knight spearheads the series as a writer and creator. Set in Dublin and New York during the 19th Century, the Succession-esque series follows the tumultuous period for the world-famous Guinness family.

When the project was first announced, Knight said, “The Guinness dynasty is known the world over – wealth, poverty, power,
influence, and great tragedy are all intertwined to create a rich tapestry of material to draw from. I’ve always been fascinated by their stories and am excited to bring the characters to life for the world to see.”

As of July 8th, 2024, filming for the new series began at a mansion in Cheshire, a region in the North of England, United Kingdom.

Louis Partridge is among the people spotted on the new series set, having just completed filming on another Netflix project in the form of the yet-to-be-titled Noah Baumbach film coming exclusively to Netflix.  Elsewhere, Patridge is perhaps best known for Netflix’s second Enola Holmes film, in which he starred alongside Millie Bobby Brown as Tewksbury.

Patridge was spotted by eagle-eyed fans alongside Olivia Rodrigo in Manchester over the past weekend.
