The sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn, titled Horizon Forbidden West, is confirmed for an official PC release and its release date has been revealed. The game will arrive in early 2024 and will be available through Steam and the Epic Games Store. No matter which storefront you prefer, you’ll have access to the game once it launches.

In addition to the PC release next year, Horizon Forbidden West is also getting a Complete Edition version that will launch for PS5. This will come out before the PC release though. If you haven’t picked the game up yet, you’ll have a couple options here on which platform to buy it on. Assuming you have both a PC and a PS5.

If you plan to get it on PS5 then the Complete Edition is the one you want to get. It’ll come with not only the main game but also the Burning Shores expansion and additional DLC. The PC version will also be the Complete Edition so you’ll get all the same stuff. The game will also cost $59.99 on both platforms so pick it up where you will enjoy it most. That being said, if you can pick it up on PC you may end up with some extra graphics settings. The PS5 version is being released on October 6 though. So if you want to play it earlier, you’ll need to pick it up on PlayStation.

You can wishlist the Horizon Forbidden West PC release right now

If your heart is set on the PC version you can get a step ahead by wishlisting the game on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Wishlisting will provide you with one very obvious benefit. You’ll be notified by email when the game is released so you can go and buy it. And if it’s in your wishlist you should also be notified of when it’s up for pre-order.

Horizon Forbidden West will be ported over to the PC platform by Nixxes Software. The now Sony-owned studio that has handled all of its current PC ports thus far.
