The HONOR Magic7 Lite has just been announced by the company. This is HONOR’s new mid-range smartphone, and it does have plenty to offer based on the information shared by the company.
The HONOR Magic7 Lite has been officially announced
The phone is made out of metal and glass, as HONOR used aluminum and glass here. There is a curved display included on the front, and the backplate here is proportional to that front panel.
You will find a pill-shaped camera cutout on the front of the device, and it’s rather small. No, this device does not support 3D facial scanning. It does support regular facial scanning, though.
There is a camera oreo included on the back of the phone, with three cameras included on the inside. The phone’s LED flash also sits inside of that circle. You’ll also notice HONOR’s logo on the back of the phone.
HONOR said that this phone is: “setting a benchmark as the most powerful AI-equipped mid-range smartphone available in the market, the HONOR Magic7 Lite seamlessly integrates outstanding durability, long-lasting battery life, stunning display quality, photography capabilities, and advanced AI experience.”
This phone has a large battery on the inside and supports 66W charging
There is a 6,600mAh battery included on the inside of the phone, and it’s a silicon-carbon unit. Therefore the phone is still quite slim and everything, despite having such a high battery capacity.
66W wired charging is also supported here, in case you’re wondering. Wireless charging is not a part of the package, but we did not expect it to be either, so… there you go.
The device is also IP64 certified for water and dust resistance. It has a 6.78-inch Eye-comfort OLED display, which offers a 1.5K resolution. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and has a peak brightness of 4,000 nits.
A 108-megapixel camera is also a part of the package
There is a 108-megapixel main camera (1/1.67-inch sensor) located on the back of this phone. It uses 9-in-1 pixel binning technology, and has “3x lossless zoom”, according to the company. This camera is allegedly great for portraits and supports OIS too.
The device ships with Android 14 and MagicOS 8.0 included on top of it. It weighs 189 grams and is only 7.98mm thick, which is outstanding considering the large 6,600mAh battery on the inside.
The HONOR Magic7 Lite comes in two colors, Titanium Black and Titanium Purple. It will be available starting from January 15 with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The price tag in the UK is £399, but it will roll out to a number of other European countries too. The HONOR Magic7 and Magic7 Pro are also on their way to global markets. They’ll be announced during a global launch event in Slovenia on January 15. The Porsche Design variant is also coming.
