HONOR has announced four new products at IFA 2024. The global variant of the HONOR Magic V3 stole the show, easily, so that’s the phone we’ll focus on today. We’ll cover the other three products separately.
Do note that the Magic V3 launched in China back in July. This is the global launch for the world’s thinnest and lightest book-style foldable smartphone. The global variant looks exactly like the one in China, and it shares the same specs too.

This phone’s global model also comes in several different colors. The software is different, though, of course, as it’s made for global markets. With that being said, let’s get down to it.
This handset is only 9.2mm thick when folded, and weighs only 226 grams. The Galaxy Z Fold 6, for comparison’s sake, measures 12.1mm when folded, and weighs 239 grams. Needless to say, that’s quite a difference.
The HONOR Magic V3 can withstand up to 500,000 folds, and it’s actually quite durable. HONOR showed it, and so did GSM Arena when it torture-tested the device.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC fuels the device, while the rest of its specs are high-end too
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 fuels this smartphone, while 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM sits on the inside. A 7.92-inch main foldable LTPO AMOLED display is used here, with a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display measures 6.43 inches, while it has a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s also an OLED panel. Both of those panels are quite bright and have high-frequency PWM dimming to protect your eyes.
A 5,150mAh silicon-carbon battery is used here, while the phone supports 66W wired charging. It also supports 50W wireless charging and 5W reverse wired charging.
It is water resistant
The phone is also IPX8 certified for water resistance, and it supports a stylus. Android 14 comes pre-installed, with HONOR’s MagicOS. A 50-megapixel main camera is backed by a 40-megapixel ultrawide unit (112-degree FoV), and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (3.5x optical zoom).

The phone was announced in three color variants for global markets
The global HONOR Magic V3 comes in Reddish Brown, Green, and Black color variants, and the only variant seems to be with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The phone’s priced at €1,999 in the EU, and £1,699 in the UK.
