The HONOR 90 series originally launched in China back in May. Two smartphones launched during that event, the HONOR 90 and HONOR 90 Pro. Well, one of them, the HONOR 90, has just arrived to global markets.
We knew that this was coming, as the HONOR 90 launch event was scheduled, and it took place in Paris, France. HONOR, for some reason, opted to launch only one of the two phones, the HONOR 90.
The HONOR 90 arrives to global markets without its ‘Pro’ sibling
That device is inferior to the ‘Pro’ model, of course. The HONOR Magic5 Pro may be the reason why, though. That handset is HONOR’s flagship offering, and the HONOR 90 is supposed to fill the spot in a mid-range category.
That being said, the HONOR 90 comes with a curved display, and very thin bezels. A centered display camera hole is also included here. There are two camera islands included on the back, one of which hosts two cameras. There are three cameras included on the back overall.
A 120Hz display is included here, and it can be quite bright when needed
The phone is made out of metal and glass. All of its physical buttons are placed on the right-hand side. The phone has a 6.7-inch fullHD+ AMOLED display, which is curved on all four sides. That panel offers a 120Hz refresh rate, and goes up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness. 3,840PWM dimming is also a part of the offering.
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition fuels this smartphone, while the phone comes in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants. The first RAM model is tied to 256GB of RAM, while the 12GB RAM model comes with either 256GB or 512GB of storage.
A 200-megapixel main camera sits on the back, along with a 12-megapixel ultrawide unit. A 2-megapixel depth camera is also included here. On the front, you’ll find a 50-megapixel selfie shooter.
A 5,000mAh battery is included, while 66W charging is supported
Android 13 comes pre-installed on the device, along with HONOR’s MagicOS 7.1. A 5,000mAh battery powers this phone, while 66W fast wired charging is also supported here. And yes, a charger is included in the box.
The HONOR 90 comes in Midnight Black, Emerald Green, and Diamond Silver colors. The last color option is exclusive to the HiHONOR website. The phone’s pricing starts at £449.99. For the time being, HONOR announced the pricing only for the UK. Chances are the device will become available in other parts of Europe too, though.
