What is the Murena Pixel Tablet?
Murena is an ethical tech company that focuses on privacy in a world where all companies want to steal our data. Its devices run on an open-source operating system that doesn’t collect your data. Murena’s custom operating system is called /e/OS. It comes with the basics like a browser, email client, calendar, and even a map. Along with that, you’ll still be able to download Android apps. Just know that you won’t have access to the Google Play Store and you won’t be able to use certain apps like Gmail, Google Maps, Google Docs, and other Google apps.
However, when it comes to keeping your data secure, that’s a worthwhile trade.
You’re still getting a great tablet
If you remember, the Pixel Tablet was a pretty great device when it came out. This device uses the Google Tensor G2, which is pretty dated at this point, but it’s still a decently powerful chip. Along with that, you get a beautiful 2560 x 1600 LCD display that’s perfect for watching content. This, coupled with the amazing speakers, will make this a media consumption device.
If you want to have this great tablet with Google gone, then it will only cost you $549. You can order the tablet today, and just allow two to three days for shipping. Unfortunately, you will not get the speaker dock in the box. That’s something to keep in mind.
