Samsung’s first Snapdragon-powered laptop is on sale for Labor Day – that’s the Galaxy Book4 Edge – and you can grab it for as low as $499. It’s regularly $1,349, but Samsung is taking $350 off, and then you can get an additional $500 off if you trade-in your current device (which doesn’t have to be a laptop). That’s a pretty incredible deal for a pretty powerful laptop.
With the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge, you’re getting a beautiful 14-inch AMOLED touchscreen, it’s not a 360-degree screen, so it does not fold back. But it does also come with the Snapdragon X Elite chipset, with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Sadly, it does only come in one color, which is the Sapphire Blue. I’ve been using this laptop off and on for the past few months, and the Sapphire Blue is quite nice; it’s sort of like a light blue mixed with a gray color.
The Galaxy Book4 Edge is a very capable laptop from Samsung. I’m pretty surprised at how well it has performed over the past few months. Though, because this is ARM-based, not all apps work on the Snapdragon X Elite, but in my experience, the majority of them did. Even Adobe Lightroom, which was a surprise. The battery life hasn’t quite lived up to the expectations that Qualcomm has touted, but I will say, it does get me through a full workday and then some. And that’s what matters the most here.
For $999, this is a really great laptop to pickup, and if you can get it for $499, it’s a no-brainer.
