The Google Pixel Fold will launch in about a week, and it just made an appearance at FCC. The Pixel Fold is one of three devices Google is expected to announce on May 10 at Google I/O. The other two are the Pixel 7a and the Pixel Tablet, both of which surfaced at the FCC early last month.

Having said that, it’s the Pixel Fold’s turn now. The device appeared with model number G9FPL on April 30. The G0B96 model is also referenced in the documents, though.

NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax), 5G, and Ultrawide Band are all confirmed here. Those were all expected, though, even the UWB support, as it is available on the company’s ‘Pro’ devices.

The Pixel Fold will also offer the same dual-antenna approach for Bluetooth that Google used in the past. That is basically all the information that got revealed here. We did not exactly expect much more will be shared.

The Pixel Fold is far from a mystery at this point, however. We already know exactly what the device will look like, not to mention that its specs also surfaced, and also its price tag.

We already know the Pixel Fold specs, and what the phone will look like

Evan Blass aka @evleaks shared both the phone’s official renders, and its specifications. The Pixel Fold will lean towards the OPPO Find N2 when it comes to the overall design. It will lean towards the horizontal orientation when unfolded, unlike most other book-style foldables.

The phone will be quite wide when folded, but also quite short. It will include a 5.8-inch cover display, and a 7.6-inch main panel. The Google Tensor G2 will fuel this phone, while you’ll get 12GB of DDR5 RAM. Up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage will also be available.

A 4,821mAh battery was mentioned too, and the same goes for 30W wired charging. Wireless charging will also be supported, but we don’t know the specifics just yet.

A 48-megapixel main camera will be backed by a 10.8-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera. The phone will be IPX8 certified for water resistance, and more.
