The Pixel 9a will be the most affordable member of the Pixel 9 family. As usual, Google will launch it months after the main models, and it will have a significantly lower price. We have already exclusively shared images of the device, tech specs, and even its release date. Now, a tipster has shared un-watermarked renders of the Pixel 9a in all its colors, so you can have an even clearer view.
The images were shared by Sudhanshu Ambhore on X/Twitter. They show the Pixel 9a from practically every angle. As previously reported, the phone will be available in four colors: black, pink, gold, and blue. Google has been refining the design of its affordable Pixels so that they offer a premium feel to the eye and touch. It seems that the upcoming iteration of the “Pixel a” series will reflect that more than ever.
The Google Pixel 9a will have a more premium design and four colors, new renders confirm
The Pixel 9a will embrace current design trends in the smartphone industry. In other words, Google is saying goodbye to curves in favor of a more angular look. The device will be surrounded by a completely flat metal frame. The Mountain View giant is betting on a minimalist and clean design by removing the camera bar from the more expensive Pixel 9. The two rear camera sensors will be arranged horizontally in a pill-shaped island. There’s a small LED flash to the left of the cameras as a disruptive element. The classic Google logo remains centered on the rear cover.
Google seems to have made a small tweak to the bezels surrounding the screen. Last year’s Pixel 8a had chunky bezels, but the bottom one was slightly thicker than the others. Now, the bezels will remain chunky but seemingly symmetrical to each other. However, fans would surely have preferred a better job in this section.
There are no surprises in the design, as we have shown you previously. The right side includes the volume and power buttons, while the left side is completely clean. Visible antenna lines hint at a metallic frame. Lastly, you will find a USB-C port at the bottom.
