The Google Pixel 7a surfaced a couple of days ago, basically revealing its design. That leak came quite early, as the phone is not expected to launch anytime soon. That being said, another Pixel 7a video just appeared, along with a confirmation that the phone will feature 8GB of RAM.

The Google Pixel 7a will offer 8GB of RAM, new hands-on video reveals

This information comes from Chun, a tipster, who was seemingly messaged by the person who released the original video. That video came from Vietnam, and that’s not surprising, as that’s where Google makes a lot of phones. Previous Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 series leaks came from there too, the vast majority of them.

In any case, if you take a look at the image and video provided in the tweet below, you’ll notice that Google remotely locked this phone. Having said that, you can see both RAM and storage info as clear as day on its display.

The Pixel 7a will feature 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, just like the Pixel 7. It will also include 128GB of storage by Micron. We’re guessing this is UFS 3.1 flash storage which the Pixel 7 used, though we cannot be sure.

It will likely arrive in a single RAM & storage variant

Based on the previous models Google released, the Pixel 7a will likely arrive in a single RAM variant. The same goes for storage, actually. The Pixel 6a arrived in a single storage variant, and the same may be the case with the Pixel 7a.

Now, in the video provided above, you can once again see the phone’s design. Towards the end of the video, the phone gets flipped around, so you can see its backplate. It’s very similar to the Pixel 7a.

In the previous video, we managed to get a good look at its front side too. The bezels are not exactly the thinnest around, while the display camera hole is centered up top. Overall, it does resemble the Pixel 7 quite a bit.

Pixel 6a got announced in May last year, and released in July. It’s possible that the Pixel 7a will get announced at Google I/O in May this year, while we’re hoping that Google won’t wait until July to release it.
