We’re less than a week away from the Pixel 7a launch, and the phone is all over eBay. Google is having a hard time stopping Pixel phone leaks, and this time is no different. We’ve already seen the device in renders, marketing materials, real-life images, its retail box surfaced, and even its specs appeared.

The Pixel 7a units keep popping up on eBay

Seven Pixel 7a listings on eBay were spotted, and that includes both sold and unsold units. One seller sold at least three Pixel 7a units thus far. They’ve shown up on accounts in Florida, Virginia, Texas, and even Canada.

We’ve seen previous Pixel phones on eBay, so that’s not surprising. What is surprising, however, is the price these devices are selling for. 9to5Google reports that one unit has been sold for just $380, and the most expensive one they spotted went for $550.

Considering that the phone’s retail price will be $499, allegedly, that’s very odd. Regardless, if you are planning on getting one, we’d advise you against it. There are several reasons for it, actually.

Google may disable these units remotely, so be warned

The main reason is… well, Google may disable these devices remotely. We have no idea how they ended up on eBay, and considering that they’re available for purchase ahead of launch, who knows what’ll happen.

Waiting a couple of more days for the official launch is the best idea. The phone will allegedly go on sale the very same day it launches, so you won’t have to wait long to get it.

The Pixel 7a will look like the Pixel 7, but it will be a bit smaller. It’ll utilize a 6.1-inch fullHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The Google Tensor G2 will fuel the phone, while you’ll get 8GB of RAM here.

The phone is said to support “fast wired charging” and wireless charging too, though its wireless charging will likely be very slow. A 64-megapixel main camera will be included on the back, in addition to a 13-megapixel ultrawide unit.
