Google has been working on revamping Discover for a while now. The company has been implementing UI tweaks and adding new features to make it more useful. However, it doesn’t all have to be about productivity, and the latest Google Discover polls are proof of that.
Google is rolling out “Today’s Teaser” poll-based game to the “Your Space” section of Discover. If you’re not aware, “Your Space” is the new name for the card carousel in Discover since April following a new redesign. The section includes cards with data about weather, sports scores, stock prices, and air quality. There’s also a Settings card that lets you decide which cards you want to see in Your Space.
“Today’s Teaser” poll-based game coming to Google Discover
Now, as spotted by 9to5Google, the Settings card includes a new “Games with new content daily” option. Its name suggests that the company plans to bring various interactive experiences that will change every so often. Currently, Google Discover’s Games card is showing polls under the name “Today’s Teaser.” The game basically asks you to answer questions related to hypothetical situations on a daily basis.
Depending on the hypothetical situation presented that day, the player must choose which option best fits what they would prefer to do. For example, if today they would rather never have to sleep or never have to exercise.
After choosing an option, you will be able to see the percentage of people who chose each option. You will also receive a button with searches related to your answer. If in the previous poll, you chose that you would prefer to “never have to exercise,” the button will show you something like “easy exercise routines” to encourage you to do it. You can also check the results of polls from previous days.
The Google Discover polls are not exclusively available through the Google app. You can also access them directly at dailygames.discover.google.com. So, you can try the game even if the option is not available to you yet, even from your PC.
