A lot of the time, when companies push new updates to their apps, they bring UI changes. These could be subtle changes to spice up the software or make the apps a bit more convenient. Google just added a new payment setup button in Google Wallet, and this will make the app just a little bit easier to use.
Google Wallet is one of the most popular payment platforms. It’s available in a ton of countries, and it’s a very secure way of managing your payment cards, passes, tickets, Etc. If your phone doesn’t have Google Wallet, then you can download it from the Google Play Store.
You can also use Google Wallet with your Wear OS device. However, Google got a little bit of flack for making it harder to use Google Wallet with your smartwatch. This is because doing so requires you to enter your PIN. In any case, it’s still one of the best options out there.
Google adds a new payment setup button to Google Wallet
This may not be the most exciting change to the app, but it can be a bit more convenient than what was there before. When you open the Google Wallet app and tap on your profile picture, you will see a list of buttons. The second button will be called Tap to pay setup. Well, after the update, the button is simply called Payment setup.
It’s a minor change, but it’s a bit more straightforward compared to the old button. This is something that people who are new to the platform will appreciate.
Under that, there is another new button. Before, it was called Participating banks. Now, it’s simply called Payment methods. This also makes things more convenient, as more companies use the text Payment method rather than Participating banks. So, it’ll be easier for newcomers to navigate the app.
Other than that, the app remains the Same. These are only modern changes but they actually do a good job of making Google Wallet just a bit easier for you.
