Genshin Impact 2.6 is literally just around the corner, dropping on March 30 and introducing a sizable chunk of content. Players can look forward to a grand festival in Inazuma through a seasonal celebration event. Which has some neat rewards for those who participate in it. Not the least of which is a free recruitment if Xingqiu.
If you’re still missing this character and haven’t been able to pull them from past wishes, now’s your chance to snag them and add them to your roster without spending any of your precious primogems or intertwined fates.
The event is called the Magnificent Irodori Festival and will contain a number of activities and challenges for players to complete. Including taking themed photos for a Mondstadt bard, dueling in sword fighting, and practicing the art of flower arrangement.
Outside of the seasonal event, Genshin Impact 2.6 will also introduce a new five-star character.
Genshin Impact 2.6 introduces Kamisato Ayato
New patches are always exciting for the collectors. Because they always introduce at least one new character to the roster that you have a chance to grab. This time around that character is Kamisato Ayato. A hydro sword user with some devastating abilities.
He has the capacity to deal massive amounts of hydro damage over a very short period. He can also help buff allies by making the effects of any party members’ normal attacks that much stronger. In short, you might want to pick him up if you like sword users. As he could be a useful teammate.
All that being said, Kamisato Ayato may not be the first character event wish to pop up. Venti will also be returning in his own event wish with this update. Additionally, there will be a rerun of Kamisato Ayaka as well.
Other things players can look forward to in this update include a new Archon quest for the Traveler twins as well as Khaenri’ah, a new area called the chasm, and a new boss enemy called the Ruin Serpent. The update will be live simultaneously for all platforms where Genshin Impact is officially playable.
Though players should expect some downtime for patch maintenance as this is usually the case.
